At Jae Australian Cobberdogs, our registered therapy dogs are what sets us apart from other breeders and other breeds. All of our dogs are MDBA registered Australian Cobberdogs. Several of our dogs are registered therapy dogs that make weekly visits to the nursing home, school, hospital, VA clinic, workplace or any facility to bring comfort and joy to the young and old, sick and well, and even those recovering from a crisis event. Therapy dogs have been proven to help and we see it every day in the faces of our customers, friends, family and everyone we visit or come in contact with. We don’t just advertise “therapy quality dogs”, we prove it by helping others in our community, providing an unsurpassed level of health and quality in our puppies and providing a lifetime of friendship and support to our families.
We breed for temperament and strive to produce the very best puppies we can. Our dogs have a sweet, soft temperament. Several of our puppies have gone on to do therapy work, work with families and children with special needs, become service dogs or medical alert dogs. We would love for you to have one of our special puppies. Please let us know if you are interested in training a puppy for a special purpose like therapy work. We work with a wonderful group called Pet Partners. To learn more about them visit there website at: https://petpartners.org/

Our Therapy Dogs
Rufus was our first Australian Cobberdog and is the most loyal and sweetest dog. Brandy is from the harbor town of Sandwich, MA and loves to please. Tom is from Great Mates in Australia and is the sweetest, most gentle boy. Foxy Lady loves visiting people and especially loves children. All of them want nothing more than to make people happy. They love visiting the nursing home and letting the kids at school read to them. We visit the residents at our local nursing home every week. They look forward to the company and all the pets and hugs. We also visit our local library on Tuesdays for the "Read with Me" program.
Read With Me is a special initiative of the Pet Partners Therapy Animal Program. This program offers therapy animals as an incentive, a motivational tool, and a non-judgmental listener. A canine companion can reduce stress, lower heart rate, and reduce anxiety. Therapy dogs often help children read by decreasing their self-consciousness and increasing their confidence. Children are often hesitant, embarrassed, or shy about their reading abilities but feel at ease around the dog who was there just to listen to the story and not to judge how well he or she was reading. Foxy, Brandy, Rufus & Tom really enjoy the visits and even seem to listen to the stories.
